Silent Hill Slot Machine Locations

Turns out, not really. You see, the new Silent Hill game is going to be a slot machine. A machine where you can put in coins for a chance to win big. That’s what the franchise has been relegated to these days. Admittedly, the slot machine does look pretty cool from a visual perspective.

  • With the recent announcement of a new Silent Hill slot machine, we take a look at the state of all of Konami's biggest franchises in 2019. By Dalton Cooper Oct 17, 2019 Share Share Tweet Email.
  • This time, the IP involved is that of Silent Hill, a famous series video game in shades of horror, as it features inside various chapters. The new slot machines will be shown for the first time to the public in Las Vegas, between the 15th and the 17th of October, on the occasion of the Global Gaming Expo.

Konami’s absence from the industry as a developer of actual video games (that are good, so Contra: Rogue Corps doesn’t count) is one of the saddest things audiences have had to endure in recent years, with the company instead choosing to focus its business on slot machines. Recently, however, a ray of hope shone through, when industry insider DuskGolem – who goes by AestheticGamer on Twitter – reported that two new Silent Hill games were in development.

Now, they’ve taken to Twitter again to give some clarifications, starting off with something that many would be glad to hear. Though Konami recently announced a Silent Hill slot machine, the two new games relevant to this leak are no “gambling games”, and Konami was allegedly reaching out to proper video game development studios for both projects.,

That said, DuskGolem went on to say that there’s no assurance that the games might end up getting released. Clarifying that they have no knowledge of the inner workings of Konami, they said that they found out about the two games from two people who worked at two of the studios that were approached by Konami- though neither of those teams ended up getting the job. DuskGolem also clarifies that this information is two years old, so there’s no knowing if the new Silent Hill projects are still in development.

As is always the case with unverified leaks, it’s best to take all this with a grain of salt for now- it wouldn’t be the most surprising thing if Konami did indeed cancel both projects (though I certainly hope that’s not the case). Either way, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated in case we hear anything else.

I'm going to clarify something about the two Silent Hill games, since some people have asked me about this. The games I'm talking about are not gambling games, Konami were approaching video game development studios to seek interested developers for pitches to evaluate, and were

& I later was told the same thing by someone else at a different studio. Neither studios ended up getting the job though. I don't know if they're still in development, but I'd guess that they are. Others probably know far more than I do. I don't know anything else more than this.

I'm telling the truth with what I've said, I'm not making it up. That said, how useful the information is to be seen. What I know is two-years old information, I don't know where these projects are at now or if they'll come into fruition. I'm hopeful, though.

Konami has been a company that most have written off lately. After the decisions to move video games towards mobile devices and slot machines, the core fans for several IPs have been left waiting with little to no hope of a bright future. It seems that every big announcement that came from Konami has been received negatively such as the E3 surprise announcement which turned out to be a PC Engine mini. Now that there have been some rumors and hints at a new Silent Hill installment, we finally got the unveiling.

Silent Hill Slot Machine

Unfortunately, those who were hoping to dive back into the town of Silent Hill where you’ll have the cult and hostile creatures lurking about will be a letdown. Instead, Konami took the opportunity to work on yet another slot machine based on the Silent Hill IP. This time around it looks like it may be hitting the western markets so if you enjoy gambling and video games then perhaps this may be something you’ll be interested in playing.

As for the Silent Hill slot machine, it’s a custom build to give more of an immersion of the game IP. From the cabinet, screen and betting table, you will seemingly find aSilent Hill theme throughout. We don’t know how it looks when being played just yet, but there will be a model showcased during the Las Vegas Gaming Expo that takes place this month.

Perhaps we’ll see this game being played soon through the expo or shortly after if it’s picked up at casino resort locations. However, for most of us who are wanting a new video game to enjoy, we’re left waiting in hopes that Konami decides to go back into the IP for console and PC platforms.
